Ahoy Traffic Control and Labour Hire Services is a 100% Indigenous owned family business operating within New South Wales.The business was started in 2017 by Desmond Ahoy with the help of his wife Tish with the aim to increase indigenous employment opportunities within their own local communities, using Des’ many years of experience on the job and his own, hands-on approach to business, implementing his strong ties within the Northern Rivers and New England communities.

Ahoy Traffic Control and Labour Hire Service Contractors provides Traffic Controllers and other traffic management services such as equipment hire and the design of Traffic Control Plans. We hold current registration for traffic works- category G with the RMS. We also provide skilled labourers in construction.

Our Traffic Control Services and Products include:

• All year-round availability of accredited and experienced Traffic Control Officers, Supervisors and Managers. Available for day and night work and on short notice
•  Traffic Management services for building and construction sites including JSAs (Job Safety Audits) and SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Control Plans; Coordination with Road Authorities, Councils, Communities and Police;
• A modern fleet of purpose-built Traffic Control and Safety Vehicles
• Road work solutions – lane closures, road diversions, stop/slow, contraflow.
•  Supply and installation of road traffic control systems and traffic equipment;
• Development and design of traffic management plans via the latest software.
• A range of traffic control equipment for hire: road cones, arrow boards come with vehicle, traffic signs and pedestrian barriers.

Our Labour Hire Services include:

• Site fencing
• Environmental controls (sed fencing, sandbagging, lining drains)
• Concrete demolition works (pile break back)
• Spotting for earthworks operators (maintains exclusion zones, spotting for safety of personnel and existing utilities)
